Impact 

The custom-configured high performance cloud from NZO Cloud has enabled Optim to speed testing and development of its software and improve its simulation capabilities backed by the support of NZO Cloud cluster technicians. This solution not only met their demanding technical specifications but was provided at a very competitive price.

The technical support provided by NZO Cloud allows Optim to focus on their work, not managing an instance. NZO Cloud’s FREE technical support allows Optim to pick up the phone and speak directly to the Cluster Technician who installed their custom CBeST installation. This high level of support combined with a highly optimized high performance cloud instance led Optim to confidently invest in a second high performnce cloud instance.

NZO Cloud is integrating a high performance instance with 104 AMD Opteron cores and 213GB of RAM. This addition to Optim’s computing resources will allow for future growth and excellence in the seismic data processing and data solutions space.

Optim is now considering partnering with NZO Cloud to provide personal cloud space and support (SeisWulf™) to its clients. This collaboration will offer the Earth science community cost-effective processing of large seismic data sets at super-computing speeds. Optim plans to offer cluster computers with the choice of SeisOpt® velocity optimization software pre-installed, enabling clients to process and produce more accurate Earth models faster, while reducing overhead costs.
